Looking to convert 98' S-10 to ls7?

i am joining the navy in a couple months and i was wondering the average time it takes to convert an S-10 to a v8? i want to do this as best i can so i have the best results. i am even looking at narrowing the rear end so i can tub out the tires. if someone could just give me a ball park on how long it takes and the average price of a ls7 and even a T56 Tranny that would be great.

average price for an LS7 and T56 combo with stand alone ecm and harness will run about 13,500-18,000 depending on where you find it. average build time has everything to do with experiance and tools. so only you can answer that question. everyone has taken different lengths of time to do their swaps.
