sound means nothing. my monte sounded more aggresive then that and i was doing ?? maybe 320 at the crank. with 13.2 @ 97mph 1/4 mile passes. melonhead and i put together a 350 TPI motor in an 83 silverado with 8.5 com that sounds meaner then what it is. dont rely on sound as a hp meter.

man theirs always some one who wants too put ya down, put all that work into something and then just too get smartass comment.99% of people are really cool on here though, theirs guys at the track like that too but i usually have too realize that what they got probably was built with DADDYS MONEY and the machine shop built the motor and there uncle tuned it for them.lol

I was told by a friend of mine that when you do a chasis dyno, the truck is alreay in high gear when you pour the wood to it. Therefore, it takes a while for the rpm's to climb, as was the case in your video. Not science, but it sounded like a good response to me.

Here is a couple dyno pulls I did with the old motor. Just hold it at 2 grand in high gear, stomp it, and let off @6800.

try this it will give you an idea of around what your making. Personal opinion, your only making about 275 to the tires. The dyno says so and the e.t says so.

I wouldn't run 118 in that motor if it truly has 11.5. I would say like 100 octane would be good or a 50/50 mix of race gas/pump gas. Probably loosing a few horses there. Its been proven that hp loss can be from having too high of octane.
