I was wondering if the regulator sold here will work for my in tank pump the motor that came out was a 94 4.3 with what i think they call the spider fuel system with the plastic lines going to each cylinder.... is that still the tbi set up because I read in post that the regulator might not work with cpi units... Im putting the fuel system in this weekend Im going to carb and its a 98 350 so there is no set up for mechanical pump...and I did see it fits all years... but one post said may not work for cpi... thanks sorry the long post trying to cover everything...JD

I had posted that the CPI 60# pump may not work. The pressure and volume is too high for the regulator to bass al the excess fuel. You have to regulate 60#s to 6#s. I recommend to change the intank pump to the TBI 15# pump. It will fit in the same spot as the 60# pump. Then, the by pass regulator on this site will work for that.

the only regulator that will regulate 60 psi down to 5-6psi will be an aeromotive and if your going to spend 170 or so on a regulator your better off using a block mounted holley mech pump and just unhook the intank pump and suck thru it.

you need to be around 5psi on a stock carbed motor. here is a link to the pump i am talking about. save your self the money and get something like this.

Hey zr1blazer. That pump isnt gonna work for him. The block he has doesnt have the cut out for the mechanical pump.I think that is what he said anyway..

no a 98 350 has provisions for the pump. but you are partially correct. if its all stock then it has a roller cam and doesnt have the fuel pump lobe on the front of the cam. so 2nd choice to come.

try this. it will work great and be cheaper then a new intank pump and regulator.

but you will need all the fuel line.

I got the fuel pressure regulator from the store here but all I got was exactly what you see in the picture. I was hoping to get some instructions or info but that's what you guys are here for right? I had an 4 cylinder 02 S10 and I put in a TBI 350 in with a 650 Holley on it.
I should have asked before I bought but will this work with my fuel pump and carb? and what side do I run the return line out of?
Sorry for taking the thread

Should be labeled!! In, Out, and By-pass. The in is the fuel supply in. The out is the fuel to the carb. The By-pass is the return to the tank.

Would it be this one? http://www.s10v8.com/store/product_info.php/products_id/49?osCsid=1b4bc9919afc77949feb1837397930af

It is a 50/50 shot. Choose one since it is not label properly.
Maybe it don't matter.?

Does it have markings on both sides? If not looking at the regulator as pictured, the left out is to the carb and the right out is to the return line. Did it come with the metered elbow?

By that case, the metered elbow is the determining factor for the return line. BOTH SIDE say OUT!!!
