If you are a street driver use the t350 if you are an all out race-truck go glide.

also check throttle cable adjustment,if your not getting full throttle that could be a problem?

Stay with the 400 trans. Look else-where for power. Like Ham said, what gear are you running?

I agree a million percent with the throttle adjustment. Mine wasn't opening up all the way when I first got it. As you could guess that problem has since been fixed.

373 richmond gears with 26-9 et slicks.so its pretty low final gear with the tires and all.ill check the cable again and see.i need too rewire it too, i really dont like the way its wired.ill get some pics up,i just put it back the way they had it before and been too lazy too tackle it yet.i know that when i put this motor in with the mallory ign it;it just quit running one day. i finally had to put extra ground wire from cab too frame and it started right up,floating ground i guess.pain in the rear too figure that one out ;took forever

i would put a th-350 in it cause of the th-400 robbin power from you and is heavier than the th-350. thats my opinion
