I have the stock rear with Moser 26 spline axels. The G80 was not in my stock case. I swapped out the peg leg with a G80 and reused my 3.42 gears.

a local radio station has a weekly burnout contest, you cant win unless you blow at least one tire, guys at work talked me into it, was definitely a one time deal! This where i meant to put it, harley

believe me I paid for it, got to put new bearings, wheel cylinders, brakes, and turn drums in the rear end about a year later, no more that's for sure, it was fun once only once! i know, I know, why, hell I don't know, motor and tranny ran cool the whole time.

you know if your going to do something like that a line lock would save the rear brake system. A posi would have definately been more fun.

i agree 100% on both, cost alot less also, the truck spec says posi, but it is that 80's half assed chevy posi/limit slip crap, if you bring the rpm's up to about 2700 the second tire kicks in, you can feel it kick in when the torque converter stalls, way to high rpm's to run the motor stationary for that long, thinking about putting a ford rear end 4.11's in with a 700R tranny, figure even with the lower gearing the fuel will still be better than what we are running now. But, it was fun for once, have plent of undercoating on the wheelwell back on that side!http://www.s10v8.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
