shorting a frame

has any one shorting a long bed frame to a short bed frame i was going to use frame rails and tub the truck any way ..would it be better to start with a short bed frame ..why i am asking i will be getting a long bed truck for free...going to tub and put a 500ci big block chevy with a shot of nos ...

I will take a look under both types and get back to you. I believe the front halfs are the same up to the middle of under the doors and the back sections are different. If you going to frame it from that point back I don't think there would be an issue.
