spark plug ques

I recently bought my first S-10 project. Its stock with shorty headers. Im having problems removing the 5678 plugs with a standard 5/8 socket. I thought maybe a set of angle head socket wrenches would work. I just want to know the best way. Can I use a shorter style plug?

Accel makes a shorty plug for all applications. and they can be bought at your local auto parts store. some people say they are junk??? i have used them numerous times and never had a problem with them.

one thing that worked for me was using a standard plug socket and ratchet box wrenches, break them loose and remove by hand.

X2 on that. there are a few plugs that you have no choice but to run them in and out by hand and just tighten like mentioned above.

I use a spark plug socket that is cut down and drilled out on top so the plug can go through and I use a wrench for the back four plugs if that will help you.
