I have an '02 4x4 5 speed 4.3. I want to do an LS swap 5.3. What exactly do I need to make this happen and pass emissions in New York. I ordered this truck new in august of '01. It has the 8.5 3.42 limited slip rear. The truck is stock height and I use it everyday so I'm not looking for a race engine. Just some more power when cruising. All I want to change is the motor. I want to keep the 5speed if possible. And I don't go off road either. The 4wd is just for the winters. Its sounds boring, but its my daily driver and can't afford to abuse it. I'm trying to look for an '02 5.3 engine so I can use my gas pedal. I don't want to switch to drive by wire throttles. Thanks for your time.
