Hey, I'm new to this website. It's cool they have a dedicated site for fans of the S10 conversions. I have an '89 S10 with a 355 in it. I have a TH350 and shorty headers. Right now I'm redoing the body but plan on getting a new trans and headers when I'm finished. My question is, what would I have to go through to get say a Richmond 5 speed to fit? I want to get long headers made special for S10 conversions. I've seen them on Jegs.com but they say they MUST be used with a TH350. Is this do to the very little space for anything? Are there ways around this? I hate shorty headers. I'm pushing 450 horse and there's a lot of vibration always making the collectors loose and I'm sure you can agree, it's a pain to make adjustments with shorty headers. So ultimately, can I in fact go with long headers and a Richmond 5 speed?
