Just got my motor back in and the oil pan is leaking. Its a 79 0010 block, stock pan and timing chain cover, I had a "stock" Milodon pan on it last time, with the fel pro 1880 oil pan gasket (worked fine no leaks except there was not enough room between the pan and crossmember-until I "recontoured" the pan to fit). Anyway now I have a stock pan and tried to reuse the 1880 gasket but it is leaking, I ordered one from summit today its the fel pro http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FEL%2DOS34510T&autoview=sku but there is also http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FPP%2D1880&autoview=sku
the first one has dipstick provisions on both sides, the second is the "performance gasket"
Anyone using either one these? Should I send my OS34510T back and get the 1880?
I ordered the first one not knowing which one I had, but I was able to take all the bolts out of the pan with the motor "in" and remove the 1-piece gasket without hurting it.
