Does anyone have any info: on cam choices?

I have a 85 s10 Blazer, with a late model 350 engine. Some of my friends tell me to go with a RV cam. However, I will be using the s10 as a daily driver and tow from time to time a small pop up trailer. Most of my daily use will be highway miles. I still want to get some ok milage from it. Also, can you recomond a trans, and torque convertor?

As for the trans I would put a 700r4 in it do to the overdrive and the torque convertor that comes with trans...JD

You said late model 350!!! Is it a roller motor? If not , I would go with a summit part #1101 or 1102 camshaft. If it is a roller motor I would choose a cam that has similar numbers as the ones I spoke of. I have the 1102 in my full size 74 gmc0350. It pulls great and mileage is not bad at all. Smooth idle. I agree with your friends on the rv cam, and with 92 blazer on the trans.
