switching from th350 to 700r4

first hi, im new im Drew! i wanna put a 700r4 in my truck. gotta 89 2wd. right now i gotta carbd small block in there with a th350. do i have to move the crossmember or shorten the driveshaft? also I Know i have to get the lockup kit for the trans but what new cables and brackets? any help is greatly appreciated!

If I remember right the 9" tailshaft Th350 is the same length as the 700r4 - you might double check me there. You don't really need a lockup kit, you can wire the TC lockup to a toggle switch. You will need a TV cable and bracket and depending on your carb a TV valve corrector that mounts to the carb throttle lever.

the 700R4 is the same as the th350 9 tail.

my 700r4 is a 1/8" longer than my th350 (9"tail shaft) I'm in the process of putting a 700r4 in my 91 reg cab short bed with a carbed 350.
