need help gauge problems

i have a 1991 s10 pickup just go the 350 carbed put in. i have most everything wired and now i have problems with the fuel gauge and the speedo. The speedo works with the lights off but its not accurate and it moves radically it says ur doin 80 at about 40. The fuel gauge works half way it flickers wen you hit the throttle or wen u turn the lights on it goes all the way past full and same with speedo wen the lights are on it goes all the way past top speed. the computers are all still in and all i have for wiring on the motor is the alternater and distributer I cant figure this out its very frusterating lol any help is much appreciated

I am guessing it's a ground issue.
check to make sure all your ground wires are tight.

Good advice, check all your grounds, especially the body to frame grounds.

any time ya have that many erratic electric problems, its almost always a ground problem. See almost everyone on the site thinks the same..lol
