97 s10 crossmember question

hi i got a 97 s10 had the 2.2 5spd in tore that out and i got a carbed 350 with th350 trans short tail can i use my stock crossmember or do i have to buy one or modifiy that one i have any help is aswsome

I am having the same issue, same motor and trans in a 95.
The motor cannot sit back as the passanger side head hits the air conditioning on the firewall.
I am about 1/2 inch short on the mount bold lining up on the crossmember.
I am welding a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 plate to the mounting surface to extend it and drilling a new hole for the mount bolt.
Any other suggestions?

Just finishing up my 2000 same setup. I had to customize the crossmember a bit using a 1/4 plate. Welded plate on and drilled new hole. Seems to be ok for me.

What I did for my 95 with a th350 trans, I just called a junkyard and got a cross member for 4.3 auto works fine for my setup.
