I did a search on here and didn't find anything really, the machine shop price list Stroker put up didn't have anything on cutting and resplining axels, so I am just curious, what is the going rate for a cut and respline? I have a set of Strange axels that need to be cut and splined for a 31 spline Ford 9". My brother has a buddy who can do it as a favor, but he's so backed up with stuff right now he said he probably wouldn't be able to get around to it for a month, and I am hoping to get it done by the end of next week so I can at least get the tranny and driveshaft and everything hooked up. I called a few places around here, most people wouldn't do it, the one guy who would estimated about $200 - $250 per axel. That seems a little steep to me (Canadian currency, but still steep..)
Just wondering what the going rate is?

I had my axles cut and resplined for $75 a pair. Which is really cheap. But the guy who did it is really old school and he only does the jobs he wants to do. He is very resonable if he will do it at all. I wouldn't want to pay much over $100 a pair.

Moser Engineering quoted me $110 per set for OEM axles...
