I seen a electric powered dragster on Pass Time a little while back. He said it took 452 lithium batteries to power the thing. The best I can remember it ran in the 8's. Gonna have to go back through the DVR and see it again and get the details.

Not that there is anything wrong with electric cars....... just that those who espouse their virtues don't mention anything about where the electric comes from......... most likely coal burning, fume-belching power plants. So until we get all windmilled-up, built more nuke plants and solar fields......... the electric cars are NOT much better than their gas or diesel counterparts. And since you need to drag around an extra 500 pounds of batteries..... there may be NO advantage at all to an electric car.

But yes, they are the wave of the future. We just gotta build the windmills, nuke plants and solar fields.
