what drive line HELP

just wonder if i can get some help. i have a 87 s 10 ext. cab short box. with a 350 and short shaft turbo 350 does the 1st gen and 2nd gen drive line the same or any suggs would be great thanks again

Not really suree what your asking. GM used many of the same parts over many makes and models and years. Most things that were changed were cosmetic to boost sales. Other changes were to keep the vehicles current on emision requirements.
Once you swap in a sbc the whole game has changed. You have to come up wit hthe parts that fit your application. Unfortunattley some things that work for 1 guy here might not work for another - But usually they do.

If you could rephrase the question you might get a better answer.

you are gonna have to have a drive line made to fit that truck or try to find a drive line out of another gm vehicle but best bet is have one made. i believe that truck should have a 2 piece drive line anyways

i apalogize. here is the srory i picked up a striped down 87 ext cab s10 no motor no tranny no drive line. i have a 350 and a th350 short shaft tranny sittin in the shed ready to put in. i was trying to see if any one on here that has done this swap in a ext cab. and see what drive line they used. the second questions was. are drive lines from gen 1 and gen 2 the same as far as ext cab vy6 auto trucks any help would be great. you all are very helpfull thanks a bunch

Come on guys and gals that's it the only way is to have on made nothing else will work were trying to go kinda budget on this one for now. Later lots of upgrades but just want to get it rollin for now
