I got a 85 Chevy/B with a 350 every 60 to 90 days I got to replace the ignition Module. Can anyone tell me why I'm burning out Modules that fast.

you checked to see if your wires are cracked, sounds like it would be cheaper to replace the distrib than to keep replacing modules. BTW nice looking ride in your avatar.

Have you had the alternator checked? If it has a excesive AC current coming out of it, it could damgage 'high tech' pieces like the module. Eventually it could end up damaging other items like the battery.

Had this problem one time, (HEI dist.)found that i was not putting enough dielectric grease under the module, this was causing the module to over heat, they were only lasting a couple of months, increased dielectric grease and problem went away.
