I finally have most of the bugs worked out, idling is still a wee bit high. Don't worry the steam in the video was from an earlier radiator hose explosion, it's just evaporating off the radiator.

Thanks guys. I'm really glad to finally hear it run. I started building the motor over a year ago.

Yeah lit549, I thought the 650 cfm Thunder carb would have great response, especially on the street. This little truck will be my daily driver for a while.
Chris, Good luck with the Big Block Chevy build. I often think when I decide to do another motor that's what I'll do. Maybe use an Edelbrock top end kit on say a 427ci?

Thanks XTEN. I thought about driving it til January and then selling it, but now that it's running, it will probably be around much longer.

I'm gonna run the headers into one 3" pipe, through a tiny Magnaflow cat, then through my Super 44 Flowmaster and maybe in front or behind the passenger rear tire. Not decided yet.

Sounds good man! I'd like to run across a new SS Camaro out sometime at a stoplight. I'm sure it would burn me, I'd be smoking the tires, still at the light. LOL

just wait until you get to drive it. They are very fun to drive. Traction sucks with them though. I cant go full throttle in 1st without smoking the tires. Just beware that if its anything like mine and you hit the brakes hard, the rear end is going to try to come around where it is so light.
