Been Gone a while now I'm somewhat back..

Been away from the site for a time. As of July 10 about 4 p.m. local time my S-10 was out of commision. :( The trans. let go on my way home from work. The crappry thing is I was doing all of 35 mph when 3rd let go and wasn't even getting in it. After draining and refilling the trans all was lost.. So now the truck is in a million pieces. I am getting the trans redone. Also tore into the engine to find out I had some valve train issues. So newer heads and cam and so forth will go back in. (One of these days)
On a lighter note I have done a little trading and have acquired a GMC Jimmy. traded a Jeep Cherokee heads up for it. 350/ overdrive trans/ 4x4. Yes it is primer black and that will not go changed if I can keep the wifes ideas out of my head. LOL!

Yeah she said to use rhino on the removeable top. Then paint the rest the orange/rust color of the new Corvettes. I am rather partial to the flat black look myself. But being married for almost 10 yrs it will probably end up orange. lol!!

You could accent the truck in black. The orange will grow on you.
Sorry to hear about the tranny letting go. Upgrades are always easier to justifey when something broke though.

you know alot of guys around here [my hometown] are starting to rhino line there whole truck it dont look to bad.the best one is a purple one its a chevy 1ton with 454 and about a 6inch lift runs like a beest hoses it off without worrien about the paint 1 1/2 yrs and it still has a little glossy look to it..we have a local 4x4 shop that does it about 2500$ a pop!.you can buy your own kit off ebay for about 300$$ last i looked comes with gun and 2 5gal buckets of material and dye might be fun!!!

Sounds like ya'll are on my side..The primer look is quite popular here as well. It has that dark and nasty look that I like.
As for "cash for junkers" Bakas, sorry no way in all of eternal hell would I let that truck go... LOL! That is one of my zen things to do. Never going to give up on it. Got a trans guy I have known for years that is going through it end of this week. We will go from there. Also gotta find a decent set of heads. Found a few rockers that eat the end of the valvestems up. So new cam and lifts and rockers will be in order too.
