whats going on everyone. im starting to do my v8 swap and trying to get some of the info i need. So any guidance or point me where to find the info will be greatly appreciated.

What i got is a 2002 ZR2 with a bad frame, i have got a 2wd frame that im going to be putting the body on and a complete 350 tbi from a 89 suburban. I pulled the complete wire harness from the suburban for the motor not a single wire is cut.

right now what im looking to learn about is how to make all my creature comforts work for the cab like the lights, windows, keyless locks, and have the motor run off of the tbi computer.

i feel confident that i can put the 350 in and make the motor run but not sure how all the other thing are integrated on the newer trucks like this.

once again any incite is greatly welcomed and much needed. thanks in advance.

There is alot of info on this subject in the forum you can do a search on. There are a couple of choices, buy the manuals for both vehicles and splice the wires where needed (Helm, Chiltons, Hayes,...), buy a aftermarket harness specific to the swap (currentperformance, Howell-efi, painless,...), run the 350 off the original 4.3L harness with a few modifications (350 injectors, flash ECM for V8,...), some have ran dual ECMs donor for engine control and original for creature comforts. I use the manuals and splice myself, it depends on how much work you want to do. HTH :headbang:
