Does the sidepipes are street legal? i would like to put does on my truck, i been dreaming of it.

as far as VA is concerned, as long as the exhaust exits 4-6" away from the passenger compartment then it will pass inspection. But you technically also must have a single converter in VA too.

well in Tx the pipe has to exit the bed area in front of the rear tire and extend 5" past the bed.

ny you have to have the oem exhaust config, I.E. for my 85 the single converter, and a single muffler, and a single exhaust exiting the vehicle behind the passenger tire. Emissions crap

down here, you have to have bad luck, a friend of mine got a ticket for having a trush on a cavalier XD, but im asking, cause i live in the border with texas, so i go to the valley from time to time, so woudnt want problems with the cops, cause at least in Hidalgo Tx. they are pain in the a$$ sometimes :/

I agree w/manyfire.
However, It seems more like customizers do what they want and usually get away with it. Its difficult being the 'bad guy' so many cops overlook things like that, not that they even care. But if you give them a hard time... rude or obnoxious its possible they could throw the book at you.

I'll second that, the real issue is if your motor and exhaust pass emission standards then all you have to do is have the exhaust dump outside the passenger compartment and not be mean (a prick or anything like that) when they pull you over for it. I've been mean to the opposite side of the law plenty of times and it's rarely worked out in my favor... very rarely.
