Supposedly my 2000 GMC Sonoma 2WD 4.3ltr. has a G80 option which from what ive read is the positraction rear end. However, ive lit the tire up before and it leaves ONE nice tread mark not TWO.
Im getting my information from the glovebox sticker and the RPO codecs that are listed around the forum. The VIN on the sticker matches my trucks vin. Im just wondering if its common for an option to be listed but not actually on the truck? Or if it actually did have the posi and now its gone for whatever reason. I purchased the truck with near 200K and just spent the money to get a new engine id really like to know whats going on in my rear end.
