I cannot find any definitive info on this. I have a few questions. First off, 1987 blazer, going to use a 5.3 ls with a awd transfer case.

1: Headers. Does anyone make a 4x4 specific header or are people using the 2 wheel drive ones and getting away with it.

2: Oil pan. I've read about hummer/colorado oil pans but do they clear the front d/s on an s-10 style truck.

Any info will help. I've searched and can't seem to find a answer either way. I know someone has made one of these swaps.

It seems you have done some research. Unfortunatley I haven't done a swap like that yet so I can't help you either. You may have to go it alone. Before the web site many moons ago thats how I did my swaps.
Keep us informed on your progress.

Thanks, I am really wanting to use a lsx motor. I suppose that if I have to I can do the swap and if the oil pan doesn't clear the front d/s I can just make it a 2 wheel drive and beef up the rear with a set of cal tracs or something similar.

I've read about a coil over swap to get rid of the torsion bar set up.... Anyone have anymore info on this (like part numbers and such)?

Ok, here is the answer for anyone who has or is looking at doing the same type of swap.

Summitt sales headman swap headers. The header number for a non coated, 1 7/8 primary with a 3 in collector is 45300 from headmans site. Summitt doesn't sell them by them selves, they sell this kit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-55861/

That includes headers, mounts (trans/engine) and a new crossmember.
