View Full Version : New from Alabama
I just bought my first V-8 S-10 Blazer. I have owned this truck before, and somehow I got it back. Today was its first long drive and I have a few bugs to work out. I will be asking some questions and posting lots of pics.

I do plan to upgrade. This 24 hours between postings is killer. Friday is payday so I will upgrade then.
My Blazer has been passed around my neighbor hood twice. I swapped a V-6 for the 2.5 4 cyl, then it recieved a V-8. I was told it was a 350 with a T400 trans. Turns out I have a 283 and the stock S-10 700R4. I have some bugs to work out. It over heats due to the stock radiator, it needs some electrical work and I need to get it closer to the ground. It has been sold twice but the title is still in my name.

Aww!! you lived close to me, Last place I lived was Hartselle, Al....lived pretty much to Cullman,Al
For the time being I plan on keeping the 283, it runs decent and so far hasnt used any oil. In addition to this Blazer I have a 90 Silverado, an 84 GMC and an Astro van. The 84 has an engine waiting to be installed and I just took out the 90's engine due to rod knock. So if I build or buy another engine it will go into one of those.
I go to Hartselle a lot for work. The best country radio station (105.7) is based there.
