Well my Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, and I have been restoring a car for a couple years now. Finally got it road ready for the most part. Most people around here dont know what it is and when we tell them they have never heard of it. So before I tell you I am going to let you guess. Here is some pics.

WOW!! X your are the first person to know what it was. We have been working on this car for several years. We actually had to cut the tree growing through the truck when we picked it up out of a field.

We actually had to cut the tree growing through the truck when we picked it up out of a field.Thats amazing.Musta been sitting there a real long time.Looks like you guys did an excelent job on it.SS did you ever see "The Machine"version of that? They were red, white, and blue, and some of them came with a 390.Pretty quick for a big car.At the same time they made the Scrambler, which was Rambler with S C put in front of it.They were also red, white and blue. And believe it or not I was working on them when they were new.Yea Im an old fart.
Sorry about the pics guys, they were taken with my phone. My father in law is a AMC fan. Had several. He restored a 71 Javelin back in 2002. Very sharp car. Painted it silver. Had a 304 with 4 speed. Guy drove down from Pennsylvania to get it when he sold it in 04.
Thanks X. We have a lot of time into it. We even stripped the car and had it media blasted. Not a good idea if you ask me. Sand is still coming out of places.lol Yeah it had been in the field for around 18 years the guy said. It was a factory 290 V8. We put a 360 in it that he bought "running". Didn't run so well so we pulled it and ended up with a pretty well built Ford 302 and C4.
My father in law used to have a Rambler he said. When he found this car he actually went to look at a Ambassadar. But it was in worse shape. Then we seen this one futher back in the field. Took 2 tractors to get it to the driveway. Then took the old man 2.5 months to find the title.

looks good SS, wasnt there another AMC product that was Red, White and Blue?Got a book out on muscle cars....Rebel machine..as the pic shows all yellow, stripes red, white and blue, front fender says (THE MACHINE)has a T-10 4 speed. of course might have made automatics.and shows that they only made 2336 in the 70's

sharp car there Bryce 71 72 model?
Thanks guys, We have put alot of time in this car. I think we started it in late 04. We wanted to take our time and make it an eye catcher. Believe it or not the dash and carpet is the original. (68) Had the seat and rear deck re done. Had to drive to Wyoming to get the windshield for it. (was afraid to ship it) Was the ONLY one we could find. When we first put the 360 in we had the air hooked up and actually working. But when we did the motor swap we took it all off. We still have to get or make a grille. Havent had any luck so far finding one in good shape. I will try and get some better pics that show justice.
