8.8 drive shaft question!

Switching my rear to 8.8 have the conversion u-joint that knanthrup used , question is should there be any slack in the u-joint? Mine seems to have just a little play, and also i never used the clips before it came with 2 half clips for one a 2 round with a bend in them for the chevy side i think?also the drive shaft had roll pins should i replace them?

I dont have an 8.8,but my 9" u joint has a wee little bit.I noticed it when I was putting the spring clips in.I tried pressing the caps in,and it was nice and tight,but after running the truck for a while that wee little bit is back.It dont affect a thing.No vibration.Smooth as silk at a buck twenty.
