Weighed my truck today

The local trucking company( carlile) by my house has a scale turned on 24 hrs a day. With me and some screw drivers and wrenches the truck weighs 2980 lbs and I weigh 200. It is a 2wd short bed regular cab. I'm pretty happy with it.

Im thinking my truck weighs around 2900lbs without me.

What all have you done to your truck weight wise?

Removed factory fuel tank and replaced with a 8 gallon fuel cell chopped some of the hood out for the 27" wide cowl scoop. Chopped some of the radiator support out. Some of the cross member to clear the milodon 7 quart pan. The spare tire holder hardware under the bed. Aluminum rims. Who knows how acurate the scale is. As far as being within a hundred lbs. Sometimes I see it with 70,000 lbs on it( sometimes they leave multiple trailers on it at night). I did not do anything directly to save weight. Just things to get the truck running. Next I need to fab up some kind of in Truck camera holder. What do you guys want - dash mount or back window mount for the in truck video?

my truck weighs 2950 with me in the truck with a full 13 gal tank.

Go for the back window mount. That gives a better view IMO. Makes you feel like you are there more.
