okay so I have a 4x4 87 blazer and blew the 4.3 on it wheeling so now i want a street car again. I figured id stick with the blazer since I already have it to save some money. I understand that to put in an ls1 id have to get a wire harness but how much will it cost after buying the engine and trans( i want to run a 6spd trans)? please help me I need a mustang killer!:D

Well thats a tough question. Im doing a LS in my 88' blazer. And to say, I dont have any Idea on how much it will cost. I do know It WILL cost me!

Theres Deals all over the place. Engines with trannys, and so on! Just start digg'n and calling around. Harness and ECM tune can cost ya from $ 450- $800 or more depending what you want.

Is this Blazer a Stick now? If it is, 6spd would be cool. If not, Auto truck. The 6spd would be a real mother. The Vette, F-body and GTO have the 4L60-5E trannys, and so do the Trucks.

Just make sure any engine you buy, It needs the Harness and ECM. Save you alot, Most places can rework the factory harness.

Your swap(Mission) If you decide to do this, will be like mine. Carefull planning, and the Forum ( Join, its really worth it?) you will have a nice daily driver thats hoot to drive.
