its a 99. i had a 2.2 so I have the a/c compressor and p/s pump and brackets for a 2.2 and nothing for a 4.3 wondering what i need to look for I would like to keep A/C but i think the compressor is different for the 2.2 to 4.3

You will need the 4.3 dryer and a low pressure switch. You can wire the a/c the old way with the a/c clutch being broken through the low pressure switch.

you need the acc brackets from any GM from 87 up V8 or 4.3 this is the easiest swap. your best bet is to get it all from an S10. simply because when you buy a compressor you can buy it and the dryer you need to match from the same year donor S10. so if you find the brackets from a 91 S10 get the A/C lines as well then buy a new dryer for a 91 S10 with 4.3 and your lines will mate to the dryer. they all have a different angle so if your lines and dryer dont match you will have to get custom lines made. this is the easiest way to do it. the pics below are of a 98 S10 with a 350 and a set of caprice brackets to clear the TPI. we will buy the matching dryer for what ever year lines we get from the salvage yard.

hey zr1blazer, im putting a 350 in my 99 s10. did you use the stock wiring harness or did you get one with the motor. my motor came out of a vehicle older than my truck without even obd 2, so the only way i can think to keep the obd 2 working is to buy a 96 and up camaro wiring harness. will the 2.2 wiring harness work with the 350 and if yes what will i have to do to get it to work with it.

no. i built the motor. its a NEW 96-99 style vortec 350 4 bolt main that was bored and clearanced for the 383 stroke. the TPI is from ?? i think it was a 86-89 MAP set up. but was converted to a speed density set up with a custom stand alone ecm and harness. so that will run the motor and trans. so for gauges we are going to use a 1 off set of custom Dakota Digital gauges that will be made for this truck. so all this completely bypasses the stock wiring. only thing that was left was the BCM (body control module) so the auto headlights and functions like that will still work.
