I very seriously doubt it. Too new of an engine to start winding up in many people's hands.

Hell yeah, that'd be a really nice swap. I'm been dreaming of the same thing myself.

But like Redneckgames said, not a lot of LS3s around.

Don't know if anyone has tried an LS3 or L92 swap but the LS3 can't be any different than any other LSx motor as far as fit, and plenty of those have been done. I'm thinking the L92 is the same as the LS3, except the accessory drives and maybe a cam?

As far as wiring / computer go, it'd be REALLY important to try and get the harness from the donor vehicle.

Wasn't the subject of bigger LSx headers discussed here recently?

Well I might be doing some work for a guy that will result in my getting his old drivetrain a 14k ls3 with a big cam stall and 4l60. With. Harness and ecu. So there might be at least one real soon I hope

Yeah, and I think I found some Scotty! Hedman makes long tubes Now!

Ricky, Im doing a 5.3 swap in my blazer. And like Scotty said, get the computer and harness! Most important!

And yes the LS Family of engine are the same on accessories! Mounts and headers are will work.

Hell, that's STILL great! It's 6.0 with a 4" bore, and aluminum block, right? And the 6L80 is about bulletproof. It's all good.

I wonder how many codes I'll have to disable I know all evaporative codes all the fuel level input codes all bcm to PCM comm codes I'll try to get the fuse box for the car too to maybe run the spal fans as if they were the oem. A/c wiring should be straight forward just need custom hoses. I'd like to make all the trucks gauges work including the mil need to find out specs for the oil pressure sender for the Gauge maybe I can tee in the 88 oil sender to make the gauge function and use the oil level sender as the oil light. Also need to figure out the coolant temp sender for the gauge as well.

Anyone want to buy my current setup? Lol. Old sbc 350 fresh rebuild with 700 miles with a lunati 10006 blower cam lunati lifters lunati springs keepers aNd retainers with a weiand 144 blower a 2500hd stall converter and a turbo 350? Have a mallory unilite with vac advance and a msd 6a with a promaster coil and a 830 holley with mech sec

The tuner shop that Im going with, and long w/ most others will handle the codes and extra functions that your swap will not need. The company that I'm sending my harness and ECM to is Current Performance. I have done my home work, and been recomended to them.

And you should be able to use your stock gauges by asking them when the do your harness work. I plan to use Auto Meter gauges with my '88 Blazer. Didn't like the stock cluster. I had a rough dash to work with.
Justin

The company is not a sponsor here, Im just giving a suggestion!

I will be doing all my own wiring for a couple of reasons 1. To save myself about 1000 dollars and 2 becaus I'm more than capable of doing it my self I have alot of experience with it I've built a ton of cars that required all custom harnesses and Im a master auto tech. And 3 because I take a enormous amount of pride in being about to say yes I completely built this car or truck.

What brackets is everyone running with the ls motors the l76 doesn't look like the alternator will clear the gearbox. I could be wrong. I want to keep(put back) a/c and power steering both of which couldn't be run with the weiand and sbc that are in it now.

I think that is the pan that is available right here on THIS site.
And I think, don't know for sure, it's the same pan as the 5.3 Colorados. In fact, I have one of those oil pans. But it's in use right now.... on my Colorado. ;) BTW, changed my oil not 2 hrs. ago, it holds a full 6 qts. It has a small, but very deep sump.

And I think some guys use the Corvette bracket arrangement? But frame notching might be necessary for the A/C compressor. Don't know about the steering box clearance though.

Click on the Forums button, choose LS1, LS6, etc. There's a couple guys, including Big Mean, that documented their builds with pics & tons of facts.

That h3 oil pan is cheap I figured gm would won't a first born for it. I need to find a good welder to help me notch the frame and crossmember. I should hopefully have the motor and trans next week sometime

If you can do all that Ricky, your the man! Im just an old Butcher, not really in to computers at all! ;)
Wiring I might be able to handle, but the ECM stuff NO WAY!

You will need to notch the pass side frame to clear the A/C, and that H3 pan fits very good. The alternator clearance w/ the P/S I'm not sure. I have the Truck acc. w/the alt up top. :D

The brakebooster might be a issue. I have a hydro boost off a 00' Astro on my blazer. The a/c heater box needs a little cutting and patching. Beside that its almost finished, save the wiring and pluming.:)

I'm glad to hear you have the back ground to handle the wiring and programing!

Post up some pictures of the accessory drive, and of course pictures of your Dime!
