5.3 with 5speed into 02 xtreme

do i need a different trans and should i get wiring harness from a donor truck?

Need more info on what you want to do and what the donor truck is. I believe most 5.3 truck motors came with an auto. Did the donor truck come with the 5 speed manual? If so I would say the wiring harness and computer are a must to have, depending on the year donor truck you may have an ETC throttle and need the throttle pedal, and if you're planning on swapping in a 5.3 from the S-10 you're going to most likely need an adapter plate of some sort.
