i am going to be running a 305 tpi with a t5 and i was just wondering what size exhaust you guys thougth would work the best. i was thinking about making it exit in front of the rear tires to try and keep it a sleeper or 90s behind the rear tires but i was just looking for some advice i think i'm gunna go with 3 in all the way. any tips?? thanks

If you are looking for tone, go with a 2 1/4 per side and y it to a single 3".

If you went with 3" all the way back on each side the motor would have no back pressure and would be pointless. That would be a waste of money doing so. If you want true duals, then run no larger than 2 1/2" on each side. The fact is you will need to help the torque of the little 305. By using the 2 1/4 pipe you maximize the efforts. The larger the tail pipe you use the more noise you will hear. Like those bumble bees you see and hear running around with fart cans. The v8 would sound deeper that that, just a reference. If you want something to give good tone while you are in the throttle and quite while cruising. You are wanting a smaller tip. The muffler has alot to do with it, but so does the size of the exit.

Yes, stay with 2 1/4 if you run duals.
