Anyone ever heard of or seen a cam with the numbers Z087 on the end of it? It also had EP1 and CWC cast in it. It was in a 350 in a dirt track car. Checked out some other chevy based forums. nobody seems to know anything about it. Any help would be greatful.

Do you know what class that 350 was ran in or know anything else about the motor it came out of?

the car was either outlaw or modified street. the engine was basically a stock 350 with flat top pistions. i'm not that worried what the cam specs are as to where it come from, who made it and who sells them. proably won't ever use it in a build. But the couriosity is killing me.

I was thinking it must be a custom grind cam. With the new info you just mentioned I'm sure its a custom cam. Chances are if you look up the tack that the guy ran at you may find specs or max specs. Also knowing info on the tracks cars in general would help you figure out what it is. more than likley its high rpm that has very little to no bottom end torque.

Start calling cam manufactures! I had a cam once, went through every magazine I could find getting names and numbers, ended up being a melling cam. You could possibly have a melling cam there, mine also had EP1 and CWC written on it too. Pick up the phone man you'll find it eventually.

thanks for the help. i hoping i will find someone that has bought one of these new. i disagree on it being a custom grind. i belive its a odd ball/house brand of a small parts supplier. maybe someday we will al know what it is. but i am going to have it check by the local cam grinder. thanks again.
