how do i put one on? i have an old holley 600 double pumper i want to use, it was chokeless but i bought all the parts and they fit.. i just have no clue where to put the small parts between the housing and the rod XD holley is no help eather they have a bunch of articles on how to change it to electronic... close up pictures would be helpful enough

ok i put what i could figure out together and i can open it but not close it...

you have everything mounted?and how close or how far is the cable housing from the bracket?

the cable isn't the problem, I'm trying to put the housing on, carb is in my lap
Rusty,can you close it if you push on it with your fingers?If so,you might have to remove or loosen the cam for the electric choke at the end of the linkage rod coming from the plates if its still on there.It will hold it open.

there was no choke at all, it seems to have been a manual choke origenally, its from the 80's though so its been through some hands, i've got it together as well as i can see on this site http://www.bob2000.com/carb.htm but i can't close the choke, if i pull on it it opens just fine but if i pull the leaver back nothing happends. i'm missing something i can't see i'm assuming

it doesn't have the vacuum port i think i stuck a pin in there and it bottomed out, i had it on a camaro and it was great i just wanted to upgrade the camaro's carb and now i'd like to put this one on my S10? the only linkage it had was on the primary shaft and i just replaced that with the parts that came in the kit
