Whats up horsepower freaks. im new be easy on me!! ive bought a 2000 extreme extended cab with a 4 banger. im gna build a driver an with attitude. i was thinkn 87 to 93 350 tpi or tbi with a 700 r4. motor will b close to stock, think the r4 will hold. i want a/c and overdrive. with a good donor it'l b a fuely, if not carbd wd vortec heads. I need help with mounts, trans and motor. "whats best for the a/c". since it'l b on the street will manifolds fit, hate leaky headers? Also this truck was slamd, not gd for my area. pulled blocks from rear but dont know how to tell if springs/shocks or spindles were changed in front. thanks for any help....

welcome to the site, look to see if spindle has a name like bell on it,where rotor goes on should be centered on spindle and if off set may be drop ones

Welcome Nasty!! Your choice is not on the nasty side, but worthy. The TPI is a good torque builder and on a 350 you will run out of steam about 4500 RPM. The TPI was the first individual injector set up, just used the similar wiring and technogy as TBI.

If you are looking for some stealth attitude. look more toward the LT1 and the LSX engines. First is the wiring for your cluster. The 2000 truck you have needs that old computer to make life easy on you to keep the factory gauges working. The LT1 and the 5.3 LM7 have more power and are more available with parts. The fuel economy is better with these motor and create more than the TBI or TPI motor of the day. This is your choice;)

im trying not to get carried away since im gna be cruisin instead of racing. ddnt even think bout an lt1 that should haul and still b reliable. thanks for the help gna get the spindles swappd and i'll be back. thanks

check with your state DMV and find out what the emissions laws are for you, and if they are strict find out how to get around them before you build so you have it planned out. Not that I would ever recommend breaking the law!!
