Try your local salvage yard sir. You should be able to pick one up for under $50. Just make sure you ask for one that is out of a NON computerized car. They have an extra set of wires coming out of the bottom for the computer stuff.

you can get a air gap for little over 200 $ that is what i would do. and i guess it the best one for now.

the intake is for my neigbors 86 chevy truck. bone stock 350 with 200,000 miles on it. he bought it with a factory intake and eld. 750 carb. he bought a new 600 holley and want a good stock type aluminum intake. but needs to be square bore. the HEI well thats for me. i am going to just sell my MSD and ignition box and buy a new HEI if i cant find a good used one.

i have timing issues. thats all i can say because i just dont know? maybe the dis needs to be recurved but i dont know how to do that and i am sick of buying parts over and over and over. i have over $20,000 in this thing and a little over 2 years and still havent been able to blast down the 1320! when i check the timing everything is fine initial sits in one spot. rev it and it advances to 36 no problem?? so i just dont know. but what i do know is that an HEI is simple and straight foward. 1 hot wire and 1 tach lead. and its hooked up. the distributor is an MSD pro billet (mech advance) little dirty but bought new 2 years ago. the ignition box is an accel 300+ digital ignition with built in rev limiter and late modle GM high out put coil. with MSD 8.5mm super condutor wires. i also have a detailed instruction manual on the box and how to wire it to different distributors and coils. i was going to ebay it but if you want it make a reasonable offer. here is what it all cost new.

distributor-$249.88

Acell 300+ $209.95

MSD 8.5mm wires-$79.95

grand total-$539.78
