ok, I am starting to think about what/how I should do my interior. Heres what I have so far. I am painting my 86 s10 blazer purple (daughter picked it) and already have a v8 to swap in, its been lowered 5/4, and I have somewhat of a system. The system install will obviously get redone when I do the interior.

Now, what I need help with. I am going to be building a center console to house a stock camaro shifter, cup holders, and prolly some storage with an armrest. I was thinking about running to console all the way up to the dash, and painting the dash and console. The dash and the console will prolly be purple with a light or dark gray accent color. Doors panels and other plastics will be gray with purple accents, maybe some sorta design. Headliner purple? since the plastic will be gray? Carpet I was thinking gray. Seats will be different seats from some sports car, haven\'t picked those yet, with gray as main color with purple inserts down the center. Same for rear. Box for subs will either be carpeted gray to match, or I may fiberglass and paint purple.

Also, with the plastics and dash, would it look better painted or in a material. I was thinking paint certain areas, and tweed the rest, with tweed seats with maybe vinyl inserts? or should seats be all tweed.

What do you guys think? Sorry its so long.

Sounds good so far, though I would suggest putting some fabric on the sides of the console so you can rest your knees against it comfortably. Check out my console I made, it was a wood sub frame, then thin fiberboard covered with some soft foam, then fabric to match. Comfort is key.

hey if you really want to make the interior look good go to stylin concepts and check out thier fiber glass dash. it is pretty pricey but will add a new look

do you WANT to build your own console? or do you want a console period? because a console from a monte carlo ss will fit. and if you want it to go all the way to the dash the camaro console will fit as well and go all the way to the dash. plus you can find those in the bone yard or ebay pretty easy.

sounds good la, just be carefull not to go \"too much\" with the purple inside. this is only my opinion, but purple interior can quickly go overboard. simply trim pieces and light embroided logos on the headrest of the seats are plenty. purple is a strong color. again this is only my opinion. hey, glad to see your home!

I\'ll be careful with the purple. Thats good to know about the center consoles. I will def. check that out. Thanks guys.

Oh, and I am not home yet, still in Atlanta. Don\'t know when I will be back either. Got the blazer though, so I have something to do while I am away. Wife and kids are in PA so I get bored easy here.

ill agree with that. id only use purple as an accent. use it sparingly.

I got transfered to the Navy Base in WIllow Grove, so we are together again. its pretty nice. Got a house in base housing. Haven;t seen the house yet though, cause I check in Tuesday. Clutch went on the blazer on the drive from ATL to here in PA, so I gotta fix that, but that is about it. Oh, we are in Mohnton right now. Its near Reading. Thanks for the intrest on how we all are. Hope everyone that is in LA is good.
