I was just adjusting valves and happened to notice some movement between the rocker arm and the fulcrum. Pulled rocker off and dissasembled it found bearings bad and fulcrum all scarred. Could this be why truck has slowed 4 mph? Thanks. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

if a bunch are bad then i guess its possible it could kill some mph, but i dont think its likely. when did you loose the mph....it IS summer ya know.

MPH fell off once I noticed valves were getting noisy. Kinda weird but first pass of day is always fastest.Truck went from 7.0 to 7.30 98 mph to 94 mph. Could the 112 octane gas I,m using want more timing? I was running 40 degrees then backed down to 36. I also changed accelerator cams to get rid of hesitation.
