fuel pressure reg. troubles???

the s10 manual said you must use a fuel pressure regulator to send fuel back to your in-tank pump to keep it cool and supply enuf to the carb also. the book says that you need a 1/4 in return outlet with a .043??? orface in it. that seams like a pretty small amount of fuel to be able to keep the pump cool. i am making my own with a soldered shut striagth 1/4 nipple and am going to mill out the orface hole i need but just want to make sure that this info is right!!! thanks to all that reply

yea, you need to have a pretty small hole to keep enough pressure on your carb. i don\'t know about keeping the pump cool, but i know i needed to restrict my return line quite a bit. i\'d go with what the book says, those guys seem to know their stuff
