allright, i borrowed my parents ram today to give one of my friends a ride into fergus.... decided since i\'ve borrowed it so much since i got my drivers licence that id put some gas into it..... paid 104.9/L!!!!!!!!!! never really cared about gas prices, but i didnt think itd be in the $/L so soon!!! (for our American friends..... that would be 349.6 assuming the exchange rate is 14%...... im sure some of you are actually paying more though....)

The thing that pisses me off, is that they aren\'t consistent about the gas hike either. You go to a town a half hour away and gas is 10 cents cheaper there at all the pumps. That\'s bullS*t
If they are going to hike the gas, then they should do it province, or state wide, not focus on raping the larger metropolis places!!! I think what they\'re doing should be illegal!!!!

I think I asked this before, don\'t recall the answer....
.......... How many gallons of gas can be produced from a barrel of crude? And, how many gallons in the \"barrel\" they\'re referring to? 45? 55?
........... I mean, if a barrel of crude goes up $10, and lets say we can get 30 gal. of various petroleum products from that barrel, that should be a $.30/gal increase for each gallon of fuel oil, gasoline, tar, etc., depending of course, on the % of the barrel each gallon of the product requires.
............. So is \"something is wrong with this picture\"......?

I definitely think you\'re all wet on that one. Why? Because Bush would probably give ANYTHING to fix the oil crunch, because it\'s the thing mostly likely to put him on the PUBLIC\'S shit list.

I really don\'t get into the political side of it. The Goverment does not regulated gas or oil prices. So the oil companies can charge what they want. One of the reasons gas is still climing is because we are still buying it. I know I am not using any less gas now than I was six months ago. There are several things that affect the price of gas I believe. One I belive is China. I like blaming them for everything http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif but really china now has a very high demand for gasoline also. And we are competing with them for gasoline. It is going to the highest bidder and the bid is getting higher and higher. This isn\'t the only thing but it all plays it\'s part. The oil companies are also cutting back on the production of gasoline. Summer is almost over and they don\'t want a big stockpile of it come this fall. So what are they making instead of gasoline? Fuel oil, winter is right around the corner http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif Just my 2 cents.

Iraq\'s oil resivours are contaminated from years of poor technique in pumping the oil. I don\'t know anything about oil but what I was told from some that do while I was there is Iraq has most likey permatley contaminated a lot of their oil resivours. Pull us out and it continues to happen and all that oil will be unuseable. We are helping them and showing them the correct way to do a lot of things, even though you will never see it on the news.

i was watching cnn and they said its not the availability of crude oil but the ability to refine it. seems we dont have enough refineries. oh and we havent built any since i think the 80\'s as far as i know i may be wrong on that one. expect it to hit 3 clams a gallon. but you need to look at it from another point of view also. gas is still cheaper then the early 80\'s. and is still cheaper then oversea\'s like korea and germany. anyone have a geo metro convertable for sale????the 3 cylinder one?? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

I think I am going to start driving a diesel. They are after all much more efficient. If you hadn\'t seen it before, you can make your own diesel for $.70 a gallon. It was on Trucks with Stacey Davis. There is a company online:www.freedomfuelamerica.com, that sells the units to make your own. The main ingredient is used peanut oil (along with a couple others)!! You can produce upto 40 gal. per day with the large kit. It is a big initial ($3900) investment, but the return is fast. They have been using this in Europe for years now! Check it out.

I just saw on CNN that there are Fuel Banks in some states, where you can invest or just buy gas in large volumes and they store it for you. So a fella bought $3000 worth of gas when it was around a buck a gallon and TODAY HE FILLS UP FOR UNDER $10!!!!!!
So since this country is so AWESOME you can prevent paying too much, you just have to invest in the right things at the right time.
So do not depend on the government about your retirement or your welfare, or your gas, just plan ahead. The government does not sell gas or refine it. If you do not plan, then maybe you should look and see what YOU can do to help YOURSELF!!!!!
Bottom line it sucks, but I am still planning another V8 project, since those new V8s are going to be real cheap when gas gets to $4/gallon.
Also supply and demand rule of capitalism says that if there is more demand, you can increase prices.
The country is buying more gas today at $2.8+ prices than when gas was $1.8. So raising prices is the only logical thing that can happen with this trend...

2.75 a gallon here in Oregon which sucks royally. But I will still drive my truck once I get it running
I am so thankful for my Fiance\' and her VW Jetta Diesel. We just got back from a trip and it got about 42mpg. Thats with an automatic to. Now I park the truck more and just drop her off at work. Kory

$2.79 a gallon for 93 octane..and its supposed to be at $3 or more buy the end of the month...I\'m with the rest though, I having been driving any less through the price hikes, but I have been considering a better daily driver. My S10 only gets 15mpg on the highway, so a civic or similar might not be to bad.

We don\'t need to pull the troops out of Iraq. We need to pull the media out. It would be over with a hell of a lot quicker. It\'s a rough road when only one side has to play by the rules.

Yeah, in an ideal world, get the media out. But in this politically correct world, that can\'t happen.
......... But what I want to know is how those scumbag reporters can sleep at night, getting buddy-buddy with our guys in the field, then slap them in the face when they start writing. And of course, slanting the news in general, as they do. If they had any moral conscience whatsoever, they\'d let our guys do what needs to be done, and report on the positive things. It\'s a wonder more of them don\'t get fragged.

you dont think the government couldnt tell them \"ok, everybody out. you will not mention a word of this to anyone...just get out\" politically correct is bullshit. they could do away with all of that. god forbid someone says something offensive and turns everybody else into a bunch of sniveling little pu$$ies. sorry for the harshness but in my opinion its true.
