well i took out my 4.3 vortec out of my 97 zr2 pickup and have the lt1 in it. i have a painless wiring harness controlling the fuel pump which works great but when the pump turns on it doesnt build pressure but it just recirculates fuel back into the tank through the return line. i dont understand why there isnt any pressure building up cause the engine wont start unless i put fuel in the trottle body.

does anyone know if there is something on the fuel rail that can regulate the pressure to build up cause im sick of pouring fuel in the engine just to have flames burst underneath my truck. http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator is stuck open. Once the pressure gets to its predetermined limit, the regulator will open a little and let the fule recirculate to the tank.

Try tapping on the regultor to see maybe its stuck. Check to make sure the wires are correctly hook to it. Or if its vac ume operated, check to make sure that system is xorrect.

Space.
