got a 5inch cowl hood for my truck 82s10. How hard is it to install the hood pins for them and what do you use to drill through the holes through the hood. I paid 200 for it out the door black gel coat and a screen put in it.

i put mine on and measured the distance on where i wanted the pins. then i just toke a drill bit big enough for the pins and drilled through the hood and metal. then lifted the hood and bolted in the pins and screwed on the metal rings. and closed the hood for a test fit and all was fine.

I would suggest starting with a small drill bit and drill a \"pilot\" hole for the larger one.... the smaller the drill bit, the less likely you are to \"walk\" the larger bit away from the point that you are actually trying to drill. just my 2 cents
