ok i know this sounds weak, but i couldn\'t figure out what size you need to remove the seat belts. i went to a junk yard to get a set of new belts and with the tools i had, i couldn\'t get them to budge. this was from an 85 about blazer. anyone know what size it is? http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_frown.gif

in my junk yard kit all i ever had is a set of hex key wrenches. they always work 4 me. just use the size that fit snug in the star relief. but if you prefer to use the proper tool for the job as i would highly recommend,,,,,,,,,,,,,t-50 is the correct size.

my was T-50 but you probably need to take more than one I broke two trying to get my seat belts out. autozone has them for about 3$ a piece.

Correct...I broke probably half a dozen of them trying to get the one off the floor in my blazer to put the carpet down.

Gotta love Craftsmen\'s return policy!!!

i havent taken one out in a long time but i use and old ratchet with a long extension. i just weld the end to the bolt and let it cool. then take it out. then go to the other side. cut the bolt off and reweld the next one. then i just use regular bolts to put them back in. i hate those damn star bolts. seems that all the small ones loosen up fine (even when rusted) but anything past a T-45 seem to never come loose. you end up stripping the head or breaking the tool.

When I took mine out, i gave the head of the bolt a good whack with the flat end of a ballpean (sp?) hammer. They came out, but were still pretty tight.
