12.0 s-10... what do I need for track inspection..

My truck will be running low 12\'s .. what do i need to pass INHRA inspection at the track... I will be running slicks i know i need a driveshaft loop.... how about seatbelts..?

sounds great...well i would use a selt belt harrness .even if it ran 15.00...it\'s just good sence...but it is reguired i belive after you reach 12.49 or faster ..you also have to have at least a 4point roll bar ..than a 8 point at 10.90 and a full cage at 9.90 ..im pretty sure but not 100% sure...you can get a nhra rule book for like 5$$...you also have to have a netrual saftey switch...and no more than 12inches of rubber fule line..unless it\'s approved by nhra..they make a approved line made of rubber..but i woult use it..any car-truck using slicks mush have a drive shaft safetey loop..a up to date snell helment of a hardness of like 25.1 rateing...and of course a battery hold down....a over flow can...i would see about getting a rule book...that way you can be sure and you will be legal...nothing make\'s a racer mader than working all week on the hotrod only to get to the track and be turned away due to an unsafe truck-car...

u dont need a bar till u hit 11.99 or faster unless u have a convertible then its 12.99 thats when u need a fire jacket and belts and bar

how fast before you need a helmet isnt it 14.9? although it is a good practice to wear it anyway.... and you need at least a snell 2000 right? and also with the driveshaft safetly loop.... if you are running et streets do you need it because they are a street tire?

at the track here, you need a helmet no matter what you run. and it has to be snell certified if you have a convertable or T-tops or sunroof.

same at my track i work at u need one no matter if u go 30 seconds u still need to be safe

I don\'t have the rulebook handy, but I think if you go faster than 13s on street tires or use any kind of \"sticky tire\" you need a loop.

in NHRA you would need the following:



Auto Trans Reverse lockout, Driveshaft Loop, Helmet (Snell 90 min.), Overflow tank other than that, really its up to the track tech guys
