Wondering what series (2 or 3?) rear end comes stock in an 88 2.5L 5 speed with 3.73 gears... Thanks!

Very simple, a 3 series. The 3\'73 is the give away sir. If it was a 2.73, it would be a 2 series.

I am not sure what the series number is but 3.23 is the cut off for 7.5\" stock carriers and gears. 3.23 and up fit one carrier and ratios below 3.23 fit the other.

3.08\'s are on a series 2

3.42\'s are on a series 3

Cut Off must be somewhere between there. LOL

Cool! Thanks for the info... I was pretty sure it was three, being numerically higher and all... My loving wife has already ordered a set of 4.10\'s for my little toy!!!

Yeah, she\'s pretty cool! Don\'t get the idea she pays for it, tho, still comes out of my pocket, heehee. And, I think she does that so I will feel obligated to modify her 03 mustang GT...
