Help please Dash cluster

Ok well ive got a 86 s10 with the new style dash but the thing is it suck had no air vents or anything like that like bottem line now the dash cluster with the speedo and stuff only was speedo on left side and gas on right and that it no gauges so i went today got a new dash and cluster the cluster now has speedo left tach right then gauges all down each side but when i plug it in nothing works only the tach and speedo what should i dolike no lights come on in the cluster should i go back to the auto wrekers and clip the wiring harness that was on there and attach it to the wire i have now on there so clip mine and switch following color order..well sorry to make it so long thanks guy\'s byeee....

i could be wrong, but did it have those guages in it before u did all that! Now ya have to temp and oil and stuff well i don\'t think u have the sensors to run the new guages so they won\'t work, unless ya get the harness and the senors http://www.s10v8.com/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

no i have lights that come on if the temps hi or oil is low no gauges could i just cut the other one off and switch

the senors for the lights are differant from the senors for the guages. change them and c if it will work then.

i agree with chevycrank you\'ll need the correct senders for it to work im not sure if the wiring is different but i would guess it is also
