Need Help Picking Taillights. What do you think?

Hey guys I need some help deciding on what taillights to put in my truck. The stock ones just dont look right with the new color of the truck. The truck is now Midnight Red Metallic. It is like a dark black cherry with red flakes. From a distance and in low light conditions it looks black.

I looked around on ebay and found a couple styles that I like.

What do you guys think? I wish I had a picture of the paint but I don\'t. I don\'t want to look real importy either.



Also the entire truck is in midnight red metallic. I have a rollpan in the back. The front has a black bumper and the newer style chrome grille. Also the door handles are chrome. On the door and tailgate I am putting the black and red outlined chevy emblem with SS after it.



Which ones do you think would look better on it? Or if you know of some other style that you think is better than let me know.

I hope this doesn\'t sound harsh, but all those look \"ricey\" to me. I see those, on anything, and I think \"AutoZone\" special. The black ones are the least offensive. Just my 2/cents.

I understand. Its just that the stock ones really look bad. They just clash with the paint real bad. I appreciate yours and everyone elses opinions. I just want to know what people think.

Have you considered the stock tails that have the black trim? I know some have the chrome but the black may not look so bad. I think I have a set in the garage that I can take a pic of if you havent seen them.

They\'d probably look pretty good with your color.

I wouldn\'t go carbon fibre though with an already dark color. If anything, i\'d go with the gun metal one. The chrome seem too much.

Those are the ones. Sometimes the chrome ones are black underneathe. I may have a set, I have to go look.

I\'d go with the gunmetal ones. The chrome ones look cheap and ricey. I hate that fake carbon fiber look crap (but I love real CF), so they\'re out too.



The lights in that auction are probably better than most. They\'re SAE/DOT. Most don\'t have that approval.

I agree that the Carbon Fiber ones are the best of the bunch. IMHO, a darker Altezza looks good on darker paint (I have Chrome altezzas on my silver sonoma.)



BTW: Where you from man? I seen SW VA; I live 10 minutes away from the Wise County line.

They make a tint that you spray on the inside to make them a little darker too! My dads s10 had that done and I thought it looked goo. It is cheep and you do it yourself! Maybe thats to old school so if I had my pick Carbon fiber!

I think the gunmetal ones would look good. Not to flashy like the chrome and not to dark like the carbon fiber.

I thought of buying a set of nice headlights and taillights for my blazer. The more I thought about it the more I\'m glad I didn\'t. Basicly I use it for hard work. I have replace both rear tail lights atl east once. They ge t damaged by through stuff in the back or tree branches or .... the lsit goes on.

thanks guys for all the suggestions. I am waiting awhile before i buy any. Right now the truck is parked with a cam thats shot. But thanks for the suggestions.

i would go with the carbon with the darker color as i like things to blend, not stand out. of course i say just shave the tails and throw a couple led strips on it.
