is it a leaf rear or a trailing arm rear...if it is a 7.5 yes you can I believe but you will probably want a few more opinions. If it is a trailing arm rear, it will just have to have a little more work in order for it to work. Hope this may help you

check the spring perch measurments before attempting the rear swap if it is a leaf spring assembly.

yeah check the rear suspension setup.. I think those f-bods used trailing arms and coils. Did you measure the width of it? The last one I measured for our pro-touring camaro was over 60\" in width (i think 62\") and our S-10\'s are stock at 48\" a lot of difference there. You might also want to consider that it likely will not be any stronger than your factory rear.

If I were you id go around with a tapemeasure and just see what you can come up with close to the stock width. A junkyard is perfect for that.

Either way good luck with it.

I\'m looking at the same thing as you are. Have an 87 blazer and an 86 IROC posi/disc 8\" rear end. I just have not put them side by side and size them up. I brought the blazer not long before KATRINA hit. I\'ve had to work on other things since. I\'ll have to go out back and measure both rear ends.

The blazer has a leaf set up with spring perchs weld to the axel. The f-body has coils springs and trailing arms. There are 2 differnt ways inorder to swap them. Either cut off the trailing arms parts and weld on a perch OR weld in some trailing arm brakets to your s10.

Altought there both 7.5s the housings are differant and swaping whole units just isn\'t worth it,
