My 89 Jimmy had AC. I removed all the components and grabbed a non-AC heater box this weekend. The non AC box that I\'m using has a 3 prong plug sticking out with an orange wire, a yellow one, and a blue with an orange stripe....with the orange splitting at the plug and going over to power the blower motor. The AC box that was in my truck had a 4 prong plug and is wired with a brown with white stripe wire, a tan one, a light blue, and a dark blue, and then there is a seperate heavy guage purple wire that powers the blower motor. How do I wire in the new heater box using my stock wiring?

If it helps, the non-AC box was off of an older S10, looked like a pre 86 based on the dashboard.

take a pair of side cutters and make the hole a little bigger, you need to run the 4 prong plug in order to have the fan work on all 4 settings, that plug is the resistors for the blower motor. takes about 5 minutes.
